Cycling in Bazas and La Tour de France

The Tour de France is making it through the countryside of Gironde and nearby Bazas this summer and we are all looking forward to it (Morneux to Libourne will pass through our area on July 16)! You dont have to be into professional cycling however to enjoy the local routes and try it out for yourself when youre visiting Bazas !

Located at the top of the Bazas-Mios voie verte to the coast, Bazas is perfectly located to start your trip to the sea or the Landes forest. There are routes through the vine covered hills in Sauternes and to nearby Villandraut, with its Clement V castle. Look for the Bazadais cattle dotting the hillsides and old Bazadais farm houses sitting in vaste greenscapes.

Peter Davis, one of the owners of Le Rodin Bazas, has always been fond of cycling.

If you arent coming with your own bicycle, no problem. Le Rodin Bazas is located right next to Cycles Bazadais, a family run bicyle rental shop and tour outfit with something for every level of cyclist.
